Gallery > 60th Cannes Film Festival (18)

May 16-27, 2007: For eleven glorious days each year, this French Riviera town becomes the center of the movie universe. And this year, the anticipation was even greater than usual as the world’s most prestigious film festival celebrated its 60th anniversary. Consequently, it was a tremendous honor for Quantock and client Camerapix to screen their documentary “Mo & Me” in the “Tous les Cinémas du Monde” section of this landmark edition. Additionally for Quantock principal, Samuel Garrick and Camerapix CEO, Salim Amin, a festival highlight was their attendance at the May 22 premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s "Death Proof" starring Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson, Rose McGowan, Tracie Thoms and Zoe Bell. Cannes remains a convivial and captivating locale where, amidst the irresistable lure of the moving image, old friendships are rekindled, new acquaintances are made and future alliances are formed. Quantock thanks Antoine Yvernault, Serge Sobczynski and their colleagues at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tous les Cinémas du Monde and, of course, the President, General Manager and Artistic Director of the Festival.
